Release Papers

For all services provided, release papers must be signed upon arrival. Copies of the release forms are downloadable  here  Daycare Release .pdf  Boarding Release .pdf or available upon request.

Spay/Neuter

We highly recommend dogs attending daycare to be spayed/neutered.  We will not accept females at the kennel while in season. Arrangements must be made to pick up your female if she should come into season while boarding with us.

Fleas, Ticks, Ear-mites

If your dog arrives for grooming, boarding, or daycare and shows signs of being affected by external parasites (fleas, ticks, ear mites) we will treat your dog at your expense with a flea bath, and or Capstar/Frontline treatment, tick removal and/or ear cleaning. We highly recommend having your pet tested for internal parasites every 6 months.

Flea Prevention

It is highly recommended that dogs attending the kennel be current on their flea preventative. Barker Brook Kennels, LLC. is not responsible for keeping dogs free from fleas and ticks, or any other parasite.

Dog Food

Please bring dog food for your dog during their stay, it is sometimes difficult on a dogs stomach to switch foods and may cause them to get sick.

Visiting

While your pet is in our care we do not allow visits with your pet. Your pet settles in with us, learns the routines, gets accustomed to the environment and other dogs while staying with us. When owners and pets reunite pets will be very excited. Your pet knows he will be going home. They will greet you the same at the end of daycare as they do at the end of a week stay. Dogs have a different concept of time than humans. When visits happen, dogs become very confused, "Why are you here if we're not leaving? " "Why are you leaving and not taking me with you?" Your pet will have a difficult time settling back in and will become stressed and anxious. One pet's stress becomes all the dog's stress in a shared environment such as ours. It is in your pets best interest to keep the check in and out events as quick and relaxed as possible. If you wish to check in on your pet during their stay please give us a call, send us a text, or email. We're happy to keep you updated. Thank you for respecting our policies.
